Warranty Policies

As of June 16th, 2008, GeIL Taiwan assumes all support/warranty inquiries and claims. From this date forward, GeIL USA no longer handles support/warranty/RMA services. Thank you for your attention.

LIFETIME WARRANTY

All of Geil memory modules are provided with lifetime warranty.

 

Warranty Claim Procedures

If you are experiencing problems with your memory module(s), please follow the following steps:

Check your memory module(s) and make sure it is still under reseller/retailer warranty. (Check if your memory module(s) belongs to one of the incidents stated in disclaimer. If it does, then the warranty automatically voids.)

Contact Geil Technical Support for troubleshooting and solutions. (You may get technical support from Geil forum or by sending an email to: tech@geil.com.tw

If the problems remained unsolved, and if the module(s) is/are still under reseller/retailer warranty or return policy window; you must first contact Geil's authorized reseller/retailer where you purchased the memory modules for hardware replacement.

The module(s) returned will be tested at Geil's reseller/ retailer. If the module(s) are determined to be defective, a tested replacement module(s) will be sent back to you. If the returned module(s) passes a series of benchmarks and tests and determined to be functional, the original module(s) will be sent back to you.

If Geil authorized reseller/retailer is not present or the problem still remains unsolved after contacting them, please contact Geil directly by an email sent to: tech@geil.com.tw. We will get back to you within 24 hours.

When you have received RMA no. from Geil. All products must be properly packed with your RMA# written on the exterior of the package.  Geil reserves the right to return the package to the sender if no RMA is listed on the package or if hardware is missing. DDR2 must be sent back as a set regarless if only one stick is functional. Geil assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage during shipment.

DISCLAIMER

Geil is not responsible nor will honor the warranty for memory modules under the following incidents:

Modules determined to be physically damaged after inspection
Modules damaged due to improper operation by user
Modules that were physicall tampered with
Modules that are missing Geil part number labels
Modules that Geil determines were not manufactured by Geil
Modules that Geil tested to be functional and undamaged

IN NO EVENT WILL Geil BE LIABLE TO THE PURCHASER OR TO THE USER OF A Geil PRODUCT FOR ANY DAMAGES, EXPENSES, LOST REVENUES, LOST SAVINGS, LOST PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE PURCHASE, USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE Geil PRODUCT, EVEN IF Geil HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
